Lesley Manville and James McAvoy will reveal the lucky actors, productions and creatives competing for London theatre’s most sought-after prizes when they announce the nominations for this year’s Olivier Awards with MasterCard next Monday.
The acclaimed stage and screen actors, who follow in the footsteps of 2014 Nominations Announcement hosts Nigel Harman and Leigh Zimmerman, will oversee proceedings as the announcement is streamed live from Rosewood London on 9 March at 12:00.
Manville took home the Best Actress Award at last year’s star-studded ceremony after wowing audiences with her stunning portrayal of Helene Alving in Richard Eyre’s three-time Olivier Award-winning production of Ghosts.
X-Men star McAvoy, who is currently starring in The Ruling Class at the Trafalgar Studios, was nominated for the Best Actor prize in 2013 following his performance in Macbeth at the Trafalgar Studios.
The nominations announcement will cover all of the prestigious categories including the This Morning Audience Award, for which the theatregoing public have until midday on Thursday to vote for their favourite long-running production.
